Eat Nutritious Foods
Eating a well-balanced diet can help improve fertility. Opt for foods that are rich in essential vitamins and minerals such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains. Remember that eating unhealthy foods increases weight, which is responsible for causing alterations of the ovarian function, thereby increasing the chances of infertility.
Avoid Drinking Alcohol
Alcohol intake has been associated with an increased risk of infertility in women. Meanwhile, men who drink more alcohol may experience decreased libido and lowered sperm count. It would be better to reduce alcohol consumption if trying to conceive.
Eat More Fiber
Adding more fiber-rich foods in our diet can help our body get rid of excess hormones (estrogen) and keeps blood sugar balanced. Some of the best foods to try are fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains.
In one study, results showed that eating 10 grams more cereal fiber per day was associated with a 44% lower risk of ovulatory infertility among women older than 32 years.
